They do an amazing job of capturing these moments! I am a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas. I own The Studio By Lauren, a dance studio located in Conway, and I also have my own business custom painting toms, which have been picked up by a few stores in Arkansas. I have 3 older brothers who are all married. I have 6 precious nephews. My parents have raised me to trust in God for everything. I admire my parents and the Christian foundation they have brought me up in.

Conway High School Beauty Revue

The week after I was crowned Miss South Arkansas, Conway High School held their annual beauty revue pageant. The girls who compete are nominated and voted on by their peers. I was honored to be able to make an appearance at the pageant and also perform my talent for the audience. I attended CHS, and each year looked forward to entertaining at Beauty Revue. It was great to be back on the stage again and to be able to see a group of young ladies from the dance studio I teach at perform. I had a wonderful time with Miss Conway, Caitlyn Cook and Miss UCA, Morgan Holt backstage as well. Thank you to Laine Berry at the Royal We for the dress I was able to wear that night.

Miss South Arkansas

January 21, 2012 I was crowned Miss South Arkansas. This title will allow me to compete for the title of Miss Arkansas this summer. I was honored to win the talent and evening gown awards as well. I had a wonderful time at this pageant with all of the South and Ouachita River contestants. There are so many outstanding young women involved in the Miss Arkansas Pageant System. The same night Rosalyn Taylor was crowned Miss Ouachita River, making us sister queens. What an amazing pageant family I have been blessed with this year! This blog will help keep everyone updated with what I have, and am doing as Miss South Arkansas.

My platform is Giving Children Hope Through A Smile. My father is a prosthodontist, which is a specialized dentistry. I have grown up seeing the work he has done and lives he has changed by creating beautiful smiles. Each year more than 200,000 children are born with cleft lip and cleft pallet. These facial deformities often cause the children to not be able to eat or speak properly. In many countries the children are shunned and hidden away. It is my goal to spread awareness about the difference a beautiful smile can make in ones life. To do this I have partnered with Operation Smile raising funds for this cause. I go into schools to spread awareness about O.S. as well as to educate children on proper dental care. I have also traveled on medical dental mission trips to Honduras to assist my father in the dental work he does.
